Two-time Teacher of the Month

¡Hola! I’m Ofelia Fatherree.

Maestra bilingüe de tercer grado — todas las materias

I teach 3rd grade bilingual — every subject, in English and Español — at Russell P. Schupmann Elementary in Red Oak ISD, where I’ve been since fall 2023. I’m based in Waxahachie, Texas, and I’ve spent more than 10 years working with bilingual learners.

I created Teach con Amor to share the bilingual resources I’ve developed over the years with teachers everywhere — made with a heart for helping every child feel like they belong in the classroom.

How I teach

Cómo enseño

I believe in meeting every learner where they are — and that same thinking goes into every resource I make.

Differentiated, always

Para cada estudiante

Lessons adjusted to individual needs, learning levels, and modalities.

Hands-on & tech-integrated

Aprender haciendo

Whole-class and small-group learning that gets kids doing, not just listening.

Curiosity first

Explorar y descubrir

Inquiry and exploration that spark questions and keep students engaged.

Every learner belongs

Todos pertenecen

A positive, caring room where bilingual learners feel seen, supported, and excited to grow.

Why “con Amor”?

¿Por qué “con amor”?

Because every page is made with a heart for making every child feel like they belong. Teach con Amor is how I share what works in my classroom with bilingual teachers everywhere.

Outside the classroom, my background in office administration, bookkeeping, and operations keeps my classroom — and now my store — running smoothly.
